熱血ライブ
1974年の熱血ライブ録音。ロック色濃く、ブルース・スタンダードをガンガンに歌い弾くフレディの姿は美しい。60年代のフェデラル時代がブルース･ファンには支持されるが、ロッカーはまずこの辺りからチェックしてみては。クラプトンのブルースなんぞ一瞬に吹き飛ばすパワーに満ちてます。ちなみにフレディの渋いギター･プレイを聴きたければ、Smokey Smothers / Backporch Blues (Ace)をお薦め。ジミー･ロジャースやエディ･テイラーに学んだというのも納得の、シカゴ･スタイル職人プレイだ。
